J.Greer…just another sista trying to make it!! From Struggles 2 successes: Volume 1

Hello All,

We had class on Monday and we discussed our PSP….I do think we made some progress. I guess when I first raised my hand to agree to do hunger i just raised it becasue I figured we could do a food drive and be though! Easy enough right!? lol…NOT!! Never in the UACM program!!!! After WE had our class guest on Monday i guess I looked at the problem of hunger a little differently and realized that I could one day be in the shoes of the hungry…the TRULY hungry. Our guest made me realize that most people are just one pay check away from needing food assistance…and since i dont even have a paycheck I’m really pretty close!…Anyway, I guess i actually take our PSP a little more seriously than I did before Monday. I liked the activities she had us do, they were real eye openers and a change of pace for most of our classes that we take where Im sitting in class wanting to jump out of the window for 3 hours!!lol I still hope it doesnt take us forever to come up with what we are going to do exactly.
